Yesterday, after mom helped me write the post about how well me and Stanley were doing, we pooped on the living room carpet. We didn't plan on it, it just happened. Mom said, "I'd prefer you to poop outside." Now I'm no wizard with the English language, in fact I understand very little of it, but Stanley looked up the word "prefer" and there were several definitions. One of them was "to like better or best" and another one was "to bring forward or lay before one for consideration". So we thought we had it covered in this situation. If she liked it better or best that we poop outside, then that doesn't mean we can't poop inside, it just isn't the best option. It's not like she said it was mandatory that we poop outside. And if it was the other definition, well . . . we did lay the poop there for her consideration and we did it in the living room where it would be easy for her to find. I don't think she appreciated the thought we put into it. This human language is just so confusing!
So today, we were just playing. We had a few toys out, not all of them, but we were having fun. And me and Stanley said to each other, "Let's not poop in the living room, I don't think Mom appreciated it." We agreed, that was the plan. So while we were playing, my bladder was feeling a bit full so I went over by Mom's chair and peed for her. She wasn't sitting in her chair but I saw the clicker on the table by the chair and I wanted to make sure she could give me a click so I could have a treat for peeing.
Because when we wake up, she should know we'll need to pee again!

It is difficult I know. So let me help ya out. Do all the peeing and pooping outside. It might take a little while to get it 100% right but I know you two can do it.
Blessings,
Gosoe
Peeps take awhile to train, but I can tell you that peeing and pooping outside is really a good way to please them. Then you can train them to give you treats more often.

Hi Murphy, Thanks for this-because we will be getting a new puppy any day now and I needed a reminder to be very specific-it's been 25 yrs since I had a pup, usually we rescue adult dogs.
Hope you figure out your moms desires.

That is so funny! I can say that now becuz we're all potty trained. My human tried to teach me to ring a bell when I wanted to go out. The only thing I learned was if I ring the bell I get a treat. Now whenever I want a treat I ring the bell until my human can't stand it any more and gives me a tasty morsel. Sometimes I think we smarter than these humans. ;)

That is so cute and yes the peeps can give mixed signals. I have learned that things go alot better when I do this stuff outside, it makes the moods much better.

Oh, I will remember that cuz my mom and dad are trying that bell thing too. It is so fun watching them try to figure out what is happening when we accidentally ring them! Me and Stanley laugh about it all the time!
Hi Guys!
Me will tell yous that accidents happens. My Hairy slobbery sister Cinnamon tooked until she was 4 months old before she gots it right. Mommy says that's pretty normal.

We understand that it is hard to figure it all out, but you will...eventually. Some pups learn faster than others, but try to remember to do everything outside and you'll be good!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
Hey Murphy & Stanley!
Wow, I think it's your peep who has the language problem! BOL. Maybe I can help translate a little...peeps never like it when bodily fluids happen inside the house. Weird I know. The yard can't be happy about this, but I guess that's where all the yucky stuff goes.

Hi Murphy and Stanley,
I have a few words fur you about this situation..
Peeps are
PAWSitively
Possessed
about this
Pee and
Poop situation.
I just can't tell you why though. My mom and dad Pee and Poop in the house ALL the time. I think it is UNFAIR that WE can't.
Well, I totally understand. I thought it was Mandatory that I pee and poop outside so I did it right from the start, but then all the day care dogs that come and play think it is both mandatory or preferred. Some do anbd some dont. I get confused but because I have never peed inside (that My Vickie knows of) I will continue to pee and poop outside even though some of our guests do it inside.
It is tough figuring out what is wanted......

Bert
Sometimes poop just happens! There's no getting around it!
Teehee! The English language sure is confusing, isn't it? Funny thing too... I just heard somewhere too, that doggies aren't even supposed to understand words. HUH?!?!
Enjoy your Monday! :)

Let me know when you two get it all figured out because I am two years old and apparently I still don't get it right all the time!!!
Oh yes, the humans don't like it when we go inside. I have learned this from experience. BOL!
