Fur Stealing - Final Result

As you know from the "teaser" we posted yesterday, our pawrents bought all the stuffs to do the fur stealing at home.  If you don't believe me, here are a few really bad quality photos:

Our furs had gotten very long.  Mom said you could no longer see my long doodle legs cuz my hair was so fluffy it make me look short and obese!  And Stanley was looking so fat that dad kept telling him he was going to have to go to Weight Watchers!  So our pawrents decided since we are so young that it might be a good idea to invest in the proper tools and learn how to fully groom us.  There's a reason mom calls us "hair growing machines".   So this was the very first time we did this together.  Mom cut me and dad cut Stanley.  Here is what we look like now:

After we gots all our hair cut off we looked in the mirror to see if we were bleeding or anything.  We were so glad that we were not!  And best of all, we still had our ears and tails!  And now furiends, I have a confession to make.  I am afraid you may find this shocking so maybe you might need to go outside and pee before reading any further.  I'll wait . . .

OK, are you ready?  Me and Stanley kinda liked having our pawrents steal our hair.  When we went to the hair stealing place it was fine 'cept we were away from our mom and dad for about 87 hours and we hated that!  And when they steal our furs at home we get so many pets you cannot believe it!  Mom can't keep her hands off my soft furs!  So we hope you won't think less of us knowing that we really didn't mind it at all.  And mom said we are very well behaved on the grooming table.  (But I did have to fidget when they got the nail grinder out cuz THAT just ain't natural!)

Mom wanted me to point out that our cuts came out nice and smooth.  Sometimes with our curls it's hard to see that in the photos.  Our furs started out around 3" long and now we are 1/2" long.

And now we want to thank our bestest furiend and fellow band mate Agent 0087E for the birfday card we got in the mail today.  It was the best one ever!

And now 1 final last thing.  If you want to be in our post for Valentines Day, send us a short video (MP4 will be best) of any doggie or kitty doing something silly (twirling, rolling, any movement will do).  We will need it in the next few days.

We Were Robbed!

You might remember the big package the UPS man brought us last week.  Well, the big UPS truck came to our house again today.  We were shocked to see what our pawrents ordered . . .

In no time at all, this was all that was left . . .

In our next post we will show you what happened and how our pawrents became hair stealers!

Dood Explorers

Yesterday we went exploring and of course mom found a rock for our picture.  She said we blended in with our environment.  We went up some really steep hills and me and Stanley were pooped out! We're trying to be real good cuz we want some ice cream (and maybe some cake) for our birfday.  It is on February 3rd and we will be two!

Chewy Product Review - Nutro Ultra All Natural Biscuits

The other day the UPS guy came to our house.  He looked nothing like EXACTLY like this:

We were shocked and wondered what he brought us!

So of course we investigated!

This was something new!

Right away we did "High-5 Paws" and shouted "COOKIES"!

So dad gave us some to try out right away.  While he was giving them to us mom was blabbering on and on about how healthy they were and that they are made in the USA.

Stanley ate his in a single bite but I always like to eat mine more slowly and make Stanley suffer by watching me savor the taste.  Stanley will eat anything (even poop) but I am more discriminating in my tastes.  I only like quality (high value) treats and I sure liked these!

Me and Stanley thought they were delicious! (Since our birfday is so close maybe mom can see if they make birfday cakes!) But since mom makes the final decisions on our treats, we had to get her input too.  OK mom, blabber away . . .

When Mr. Andrew at Chewy.com gave us the opportunity to select a treat to test and review, we were immediately drawn to the Nutro Ultra All Natural Biscuits. They are all natural: brown rice, tomato, spinach, pumpkin, blueberry, egg, oatmeal, pomegranate, sunflower oil, flax-seed, and carrots.  And of course we like that they are made in the USA (instead of a foreign country with questionable manufacturing standards).  We took this from their website:
Key Benefits
  • Helps maintain and boost your dog’s immune system
  • Supports healthy heart function
  • Naturally preserved and does NOT contain: wheat, ground yellow corn, corn gluten meal, soy, artificial colors or flavors, or fillers
  • Three lean animal proteins from farm-raised chicken, pasture-fed lamb and salmon provide unique and complementary Amino Acids that work together to promote strong, lean muscles
  • Packed with antioxidants to help maintain a strong immune system, a healthy heart and sharp mind
  • Made in the USA

We did not find anything we didn't like about this product. We even liked the closure on the bag. Too often the bags are not real easy to close but this one seals easily.

Mr. Andrew told us that getting products 100% made and sourced in the USA is getting harder but we will always be able to find them at Chewy. We really liked the quality ingredients of this treat and Murphy and Stanley loved the taste. We give this product our full endorsement and recommendation.  Our experience with Chewy was very good and their delivery was fast and reliable. If you haven't visited their website, you will want to check them out.  Click HERE.

Our thanks to Chewy for the link to a contest for our readers.  There are 3 great prizes!

Disclosure:  We received no payment for our participation in this product review but the product was provided at no charge to us for our honest review and opinion.

Birfday Box - Didn't See That One Coming

OK . . . OK . . . I am almost out of breath for the shock of our birfday pressie that the UPS man brought in the giant box yesterday. You are NOT going to believe what it was.  Not in a MILLION years!!  First thing was that we knew it was heavy cuz it was hard for dad to get into the house.

As soon as mom said it was our birfday pressie, and our birfday is not until February 3rd, I knew we could not wait that long to open it!

Me and Stanley decided to put the Doodle Team effort into persuading mom to open it.

We figured that since it came from  a pet products place that it HAD to be full of wonderful stuffs!  So dad dragged the huge box downstairs into the Big Room (yes, our pawrents are so lacking in creativity that they actually do call this room the Big Room). And then dad opened the box and put the pieces together.  We could not believe our eyes.  We have seen these before but NEVER at our house!!  Are you ready to see what it is???

Yes, it is a hangman's platform!  Mom seemed all delighted with it, muttering all about how it was going to make it easy to comb me without breaking her back.  Now I will admit, it was kind of fun when she made it go up and down, and the idea of mom combing me is a nice one but our fur stealers have some of these and now we are worried if our pawrents have other ideas too?  Stanley is right, no good can come of this!

Murphy & Stanley

Mom's Note:  Murphy and Stanley get combed every day.  Their Doodle coats are very heavy (especially Murphy's as it is more woolly but Stanley has tighter curls) and when we leave them long in the winter we want to make sure they don't get any mats. They are both VERY good about grooming and it is common for them to sleep through their comb out. But it is uncomfortable to be hunched over when we do it.  I love this!  It raises high enough that I no longer have to bend over to comb Murphy, and low enough to accommodate Stanley.

What Is It?

You might not know this but in 11 more wake-ups me and Stanley are gonna have a birfday!  Yes, it is true, we are going to be 2 years old.  So mom said she and dad got something special for our birfday.  And it got delivered TODAY!  And guess what else . . . it's BIG!

I'm gonna see if we can open it and I'll post a picture of it tomorrow.  What do you think it could be??

Poopy Monday

We went for a walkie this past weekend and the sun was shinning brightly, melting the snow.  Unfortunately, it was showing all the doggie poops that humans have left on the trail all winter long.  We are joining Sugar on this issue today.

Don't be a jerk (mom said jackass but we are too young to use that HBO word)  . . . Scoop the poop!!!

Doodle Clowns

We went on another walkie yesterday.  It was the other end of the one we went on the other day (with the ducks).  Everything was going just fine, we were having fun, sniffing pee-mail, checking the million of poops on the trail, and pulling our pawrents across the iced up spots.  Then suddenly mom goes nuts AGAIN and decides we need a picture.  Really mom, like the 9 million we already have isn't enough?  But you know the old saying about "if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy"
