Happy Howl-o-ween!

Me and Stanley are joining our furend Dory who is is having a wonderful fundraiser for shelters! Dory gave us lots of ideas on how we can do something to help a shelter.  Me and Stanley sent mom and dad to Costco our favorite pet food store to buy a big bag of doggie food to help feed doggies who aren't as lucky as us.

So then Friday when we were getting ready to deliver the dog food mom said, "STOP!"  We looked at her and said, "Huh?"  Then she said that in her heart it did not feel right to give the dog food to the local (city owned) Animal Shelter cuz she knew they also received donations from a local plant that makes dog food.  So then she remembered a place called "Pack and Pounce".  In 2007, after hearing a sad story about doggies who were just dumped in a dumpster, the owner decided to open a Thrift Store to fund animal rescue.  They are small but are working hard to rescue animals and assist with those who are unable to afford to neuter/spay their animals. So mom called the lady and asked if they could use the dog food.  The lady excitedly said "YES"!  Then the lady told mom she could drop it off at the thrift store.  So that is what we did yesterday.

We want to thank Dory and her mom for coming up with such a wonderful idea! Today me and Stanley will be passing out candy.  We hope everyone has a wonderful howl-o-ween!

And remember . . . don't turn your backs on any pumpkins!

Making Dreams Come True

And then . . .

We went on a walkie the other day and all of a sudden Stanley's nose dropped to the ground.

It has always been Stanley's dream to ride on a buffalo.  I always assumed he'd never get the chance so I didn't try to talk him out of it.

But he was determined so off we went.

We came upon an elk.  It was our first elk ever.

Since we saw an elk I thought perhaps Stanley really did smell a buffalo so I was sort of nervous.

I thought maybe getting a second opinion might have made Stanley reconsider but he was more determined than ever!  Then he came upon something and pulled dad off the trail.

Suddenly he wanted to jump the fence!  I shouted "What the dog?"

I ran over and saw what he was looking at.  I was ready to get out of there!

Then I heard Stanley ask the buffalo if he was in the movie "Dances With Wolves?"

Next thing I knew he pulled me over the fence with him!  Those buffalo are giant!

I was scared butt he was picking out one to get on!

I had no choice butt to back up my brother cuz that's what brothers do.

That ol' buffalo never did stand up so eventually we jumped back off.  At least now Stanley's dream came true!

Murphy's Almost Wordless Wednesday

When I get tired and out of breath I secretly hide and take a break.  I make sure mom doesn't see me cuz if she sees I am out of breath she will say the words I HATE - "All Done"! (See me hiding?)

Stanley's Photo Shoot

I was taking a bunch of pictures of Stanley cuz he is so handsome.  This first one is my favorite cuz I like his ears.

Stanley is always sniffing on the hillside to see if any cats have been there - sorry Madi.

I told him to strike a pose that would make the girls swoon and this was what he did!

He likes this side view.

Oops, he made me take one that showed all his muscles.

Here he is doing Neighborhood Watch.

Here he's checking to mkae sure I am still taking pictures.

He thinks this one makes him look thoughtful.

This is what he looks like when I'm playing fetch hee . . . hee . . .

Also, in case you didn't see it, we have a furend who is looking fur a girlfurend so if you are an available girl let us know.  We heard he is romantic and barks with an accent.

Monday's Moanings

In a Throwback Monday, we found this picture . . .

We don't think we changed a bit!  Mom was saying that Howl-o-ween will be this Saturday and that me and Stanley will be passing out candy.  We have a great plan for all the doorbell ringing.  Dad puts a baby gate up to the front door so we can open it and pass out candy but there is no risk of us getting out the door.  Do you remember this?

I hate wearing clothes.  That was very embarrassing!  Anyway, one last thing.  We have a furend who is looking for a girlfurend.  If you are an eligible girl just leave it in the comments and he will see it.

Oh, another thing . . . don't forget . . .

Oh, we almost forgot . . . this Fryday . . .

The inclusion:  "After that I never turned my back on another pumpkin."  The just publish your story on October 30, 2015.
