Our Longest Walk!

Today was the day!  It's a good thing we rested because today we went on a 5 mile walk!  Yup, 5 miles, it was the longest me and Stanley EVER walked in our lives!  Mom and dad said they were very proud of us especially since we are just 7 months old!

This is our new friend Taylor.  She is so nice.  She just got rescued YESTERDAY!  We are happy she found her forever home.  She smiles a lot!

I had to keep sniffing the pathway to make sure there were no dinosaurs.  Me and Stanley had to lead the walk and make sure everyone stayed safe.  There are many dinosaurs on the other end of the trail so we had to make sure none came to this end.

Stanley had everyone wait while he cleared the path for safety reasons.

Shasta came on the walk with us.  All in all there were 12 people and 4 dogs.  Shasta was very nice and liked me and Stanley better because we did not jump on her.  Last time we met her we went kind of crazy.

Shasta's peeps are very nice.  Sometimes her mom has treats for us when we visit her at her office.

We stopped for a drink and Stanley just jumped in the water.  I told him we were supposed to drink not swim but he has to swim.

We found dead fish on the shore and we were trying to figure out why they died.

Shasta jumped right in the water too.  We'll have to invite her over to our pool sometime.

A few of the crazy people we had to keep track of.  This peep is excited because he thought he saw a dinosaur.

I kept a continuous sniff on the trail.  Although me and Stanley have been on this trail before, the people we were leading were on it for the first time.

Some of the peeps we were leading.  Stanley is showing them the way and I jumped ahead to get a picture.  (Part of the group had to turn back early.)

Stanley's leash tried to trip him.

We had to make sure no one got left on the trail.

Mom didn't snap any pictures of the trail itself and I have instructed her that next time she needs to do this.  But it is a 13 mile trail that runs alongside the river.  Most people do not go on the end we went on today but me and Stanley go there with mom and dad all the time.  We all had so much fun that mom and dad are going to arrange another walk that starts where we left off today.

Taylor was so nice to give me a drink. By the time we finished me and Stanley were pooped!   So our peeps took me and Stanley home and  then left again.  When they came home later they showed us what they saw.

Dang!  I wish I was there, I never saw a big owl before!

After mom and dad saw the owl they went to the All breed Dog Show and watched the agility competition.  I think me and Stanley will just nap for the rest of the day.  Five miles is a really long way but we had lots of fun!

I am so impressed that you guys were able to walk so far-great job! Hunter will do our daily two miles if he has a fur friend leading him but if it is just him, he likes to keep it to a max of one mile. Thank you for sharing; have a great Sunday.
