Bird Song

This morning we took a little hike on Bird Song Trail.  It isn't a really long trail and there are usually lots of birds along it.  It's funny because parts of it are lush green and other parts are dry with cactus.  It's the variety that we like.  The thing mom and dad we did  not like was all the dog poop along the trail.  Mom really wishes people would get tickets for not picking up after their dogs!

Me and Stanley had to check out the vegetation.
Stanley kept an ear open for rattler snakes.  It has been a very bad year for them and a couple dogs died!
Not too many signs of fall in this area.  It also looked like it might start raining.

Sometimes we had to stop and let mom and dad catch up.  They are very slow!
Mom, Dad, hurry up already!
We thought it was funny that NONE of these leaves have started to change!
Mom, there's more poop over here!
Better get headed back down the trail.
Yup, still lookin' like rain!
Mom, Stanley farted!
Why do I always get blamed?

  2. Hey Murphy me and MOM do that trail a few times a year. You know it's a part of the Shore Line trail? It's much longer. Did you see that old old model T car that is stuck in all those trees? How it got there who knows, cuz as you know there are no road close on the mountain side.

  3. Murphy you are so ornery.... telling that Stanley PHARRRRTed... I would NEVER tell on Ernie like that... OMD my Nose just grew 87 inches longer. BOL BOL

We hate it when peeps don't pick up poops, too. OUR mom Always picks OURS up. She LOVES POOPS and SAVES them to put in the Poop Sculpture Pile.

I think (other than the poops and Pharrrrt and possible Rattling snakes) that was a very much INTERESTING walk you took. I'm just sayin.

  4. What a coincidence. You went on Bird Song Trail and right now, I have two lovely birdies in my room, playing with me. I will post photos of them soon. Well, it is still kinda a coincidence, right?

Don't worry too much about the award requirement(s), just accept the award, proudly display the badge and write us a short story or two. Or just link back to my blog (free advertisement for me,haha).

I only really care about reading your story. Please make your mummy type your story(ies). Use the pleading-begging-for-food look. It always works!

  7. What a beautiful place for a hike. I love the name of it. Bird Song Trail just sounds so enchanting. It's too bad so many people don't scoop their dogs poop!
