What Is This?

Stanley

Update on my (Murphy's) condition:  I rested most of the day yesterday.  Then last evening mom carried me downstairs to the bottom door and let me out to go pee.  She was very careful as she gently placed me on the ground.  Dad shoveled the snow (we got about 4") to give me an area to go potty with my injured paw.  I was so happy that ever'body took such good care of me that I decided to dance in the snow.  That was so much fun that I decided to run in the snow.  Pretty soon I was doing zoomies and Stanley was chasing me.  We zoomed back and forth across the yard, through the snow.  Mom was shouting something about my not supposed to be doing that but it was hard to hear her over the sound of my own laughter.  It was great fun.

After we went back inside I asked Stanley why he told ever'body that I got shot yesterday.  He said that when we were hanging around with the other motorcycle cops the other day they kept talking about making sure we didn't get shot and it was just on his mind and when he saw all that blood he just knew I was shot (he was worried I could tell cuz he had teardrops in his eyes).  Anyway, thanks ever'body for worrying about me.  The dogtur said my paw still hurts but I just don't pay attention to that stuff.  I may be cuddly and cute but I'm tough!

Hey Murphy!
Wow, I'm so very glad you're tough and feeling better today! Doing zoomies is always a good way to forget our troubles.

Oooh Stanley's head looks very soft. Our mom was murmuring something about snuggling her face in it (yuck!). Anyway we are glad to hear Murphy is feeling good. Maybe your mom will have to put you on your walking string so you don't go crazy in the yard. Just saying.

Can't be too bad if you can zoomie! People worry more about these things then they need to. We are so glad you are feeling better. Lee and Phod

Oh Murphy, I didn't know you got hurt in your foot. You probably should downplay that tough part for a while and rest your foot. But how fun you guys got some snow, I wish we would too, but no such luck. It's sweet to read how much your brother cares for you.

OH MY BLIMEY CHARLIE!!! Look what happens when we don't check in for a day. Murphy, we hope you get better real soon. What an adventure, although probably the sort you would rather not have! Sending you smoochie kisses (from me, Stella) and healing slobber (from Rory). Take care mate. Oh and you could use Stanley's head as a pillow. It looks nice and soft. Wasn't he a grreat brother to call your mum and dad for help. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

We are so very glad that you are feeling back to yourself. We once had a dog named Sammy who lost her toenail in a fence. Apparently there were some guys in the back yard that were going to break into our house-but she saw them and went through a fence to protect our house. She got pretty cut up but the thieves never got a thing. I was scared too for her. I know your mom just wants you not to hurt it anymore. Have a great evening,

We're voting for a box of Q-tips on that first photo! And dude, if we had an award to give you, we totally would, because we applaud your decision to engage in snow zoomies in spite of recent injury - that shows true dedication to the sport of Snow Zoomies!

Murphy, I'm so glad you are feeling better! You should be careful when you are out doing zoomies though! Please don't tell my daddy this but I would love to run my paws through that cotton top :0)
PS: My daddy rarely reads my blog so you can leave any comments you like. Usually he only reads it if momma tells him to so I will snuggle up to her and make sure she keeps all my secrets!

Wow, I just read your post from yesterday and boy am I glad Murphy didn't really get shot. Sorry to hear that you got your toenail torn off. I can't imagine how that could have happened, but I'm also glad to hear that you're well on your way to recovery.
