Beware of Danger!!!!

The most scary thing just happened and we wanted to warn others.  Mom and dad noticed that when me and Stanley play that Stanley sometimes grabs me by the collar and drags me around.  Usually I scream when this happens (because it strangles me).  So mom has been taking my collar off me so Stanley can't do it. Well today, I had my collar on.  Mom and dad were in the living room just reading.  I was just hanging loose and Stanley decided he wanted to play.  So he grabbed me by the collar.  Only this time my collar got caught behind his big ol' canines.  I started screaming because I was choking and Stanley started screaming because his jaw was stuck and his teeth were being tugged out by the pressure of me fighting for release from my noose.  We both were screaming and mom and dad were trying to see what was going on while we were stuck and flailing about, screaming at the top of our lungs.  I was gasping for air and Stanley was so upset he started pooping his pants.  It was an awful sight as mom and dad tried to get my collar off to rescue us both.  We were moving so much that dad could not get it unhooked.

Finally, dad got the buckle on my collar released and I could breathe again and Stanley's jaw (and teeth) were released.  Stanley was still upset but dad doesn't think his mouth, jaw or teeth were damaged. Mom is thankful this didn't happen when we were in the Doodle Clubhouse or outside playing.  It was pretty scary for everyone (and probably scared the piano tuner who was in the piano room at the time).

So now the new policy is that when we are in each other's presence we will NOT wear our collars. That's right friends, forever nekkid!

Good idea. We had scares when Pippinpumpkin got her dew claws caught in the tag of her collar and nearly ripped it off but luckily peeps saw and managed to sort it out. We NEVER wears collars indoors. Thank God you guys were OK. Thus we agree NO COLLARS INDOORS. Go naked. Take Care
Best wishes Molly

Oh I love naked. That must have been super scary. Glad your parents were right there to help you out. But remember when we go on walks you need to wear the collars.

Whoa, that must have been totally scary for the both of you! But I'm glad that your parents were in the house and able to help you! Hehe on the piano tuner! I'm only allowed to go collarless after a bath, but I love it...freedom (Mel Gibson's voice)!!!

That same thing happened to a pair of our dogs and from that point on none of our dogs ever wore collars except when leaving the house. Glad neither of you were hurt and your mom and dad were there to rescue you.

THAT was scary fur SURE. It is why we don't have dew claws... butt mom never thought about us getting our TEEFS caught.. I am not sure she would ever let us go nekkid though. Even WITH our microchips she is very much worried that we might... get lost. Lost or Choked??? I don't know WHICH would be WORSE.
I am REALLY glad that you are both SAFE now!!

Mom thinks the same way (we are microchipped). BUTT, now that she realized I could have had my neck snapped by the way Stanley was whipping around trying to get released and Stanley could have dislocated his jaw, we will be nekkid.

Oh Murphy & Stanley that must have been so scary for you and your people but where glad your dad was able to come to the rescue. It's sounds like it a very good idea to go naked from now on.

Wow, so scary!! We go naked in the house too. We think we have done that to let Finn know that she isn't going outside any time soon. So, we take it off when we go to bed at night or when we know we aren't leaving any time soon. So glad you are ok!

scared poopless, if it wasnt so scary that would of been a funny story :) glad you guys are both ok. thats why i always buy stormy collars with the clip together bit instead of buckles cos i read about a dog getting his teeth stuck in another dogs collar and they couldnt get it off, had to cut it in the end, well scary. glad it all turned out ok and now you get to go neked lots :D xxx

It is a snap together collar but the part that snaps together was stuck in Stanley's mouth!
