Water Dogs

You will not believe what I did yesterday!  First, we went for a long ride, the longest ride ever in my life!  Mom said it was to help get us ready for our trip to the ocean next month.  Our drive took us 10,000 hours and 14 minutes.

Stanley was very bored.
I was bored too . "Are we there yet?"

Finally . . . there it is . . . Bear Lake!!

I was excited to get into the water.  I said, "OK Mom, I'm gonna swim out here now so you need to get the camera ready."
And that was exactly what I did.  Unfortunately Mom was so busy with my swim rope that she didn't get any good pics of me  actually swimming.  BUTT, the truth is that I went in over my head, and swam out, then made a u-turn and swam back. I was VERY good!  A man watching us said I was good too!
Stanley did some swimming too but he had already gone out over his head before so this was his second time.  Our peeps were not prepared with a water toy (duh - MOM!) so dad just threw out a little stick for Stanley to fetch. Stanley likes to fetch in the water but said it would be more fun with a better stick or a water toy.
Mom said we would have to figure out the problem of tangling our swim ropes. "That's why this was a test swim" she said.

Then we drove back home, another  9 million miles.  So I just slept and had a dream . . .

Hi, Great job you two-I knew you'd master the art of swimming. Now mom can get some fun water toys for you. I love your seat cover-so very cute! I don't think Hunter would have followed you out there but you just never know. I'm wondering if this is the same Bear Lake in Utah we went to four years ago by Georgetown, in the southeast of Utah? If so, it was so pretty there.
Have a wonderful day today.

I told you you would love Bear Lake! It is Awesome. Were you on the Utah side or the Idaho side? Or did you just swim back and forth between the two? That water is such a beautiful blue you can just get lost in it. Four paws up to both of you.
Blessings,
Goose

You are going to the REAL OCEAN??? THAT will be an even BIGGER ride. I guess it is good that you got to Practice... being BORED .
Did you have any trouble getting to the Blogville Stadium today? The Traffic was TERRIBLE. It was Nose to Butt. somebuddy even Parked in MY Reserved Space. I guess Everybuddy is LOVIN OUR Olympics.

You boys did a great job practicing both riding in the car and swimming. Congrats to you Murphy for going deep enough to get your paws off the bottom. You're a real swim champ now.

Nope, north end of the state.

We went to both sides so that made it our first time to be in a different state, but all swimming was in Utah.

We took the side roads and the traffic was better.

Nope, no bears. But there are raspberry shakes!

You boys sure do love your water, I bet you could teach Betty a thing or two about swimming, she seems to despise it no matter how hot she gets!

WOOO! That looked like tons of fun. I don't like to swim much though :/

Mommy is wondering if you need a swim rope because of recall or if your mommy just wants to be safe?

Both. I am still very young and easily distracted on recall. We will be six months old next week.
