The Weigh We Are

Me and Stanley got weighed today.  For me, it was an exciting day.  Since I'm the smallest one of the litter, I like seeing proof that I'm growing. When Stanley got put on the scale he was looking a bit sheepish.  I told him he was hogging all the food but he said he wasn't eating any more than anyone else.  Although Stanley still weighs a lot more than me, the percentage of our weight increase was fairly close.  I think my mom will be happy about that.

Murphy:  3 pounds 5 ounces
Stanley:  5 pounds 5 ounces

Stanley says he just has 2 pounds of solid muscle.  OK, we'll go with that . . .

Don't worry Murphy about your weight. Let me tell you a story. A true story. There is a dog named George. He was the smallest of his litter, the runt they called him. He went to a loving home, just like you are going to, and when he grew up to be an adult dog, guess what???? Well George weighs 250lbs! That's right two hundred and fifty pounds. He is now the world's largest dog ever. Now you might not make it to 250lbs (George is a Great Dane) but you will do just fine just wait (weight) and see.
Blessings,
Goose

It sounds like you you doing well, Murphy. I know a little Cairn named Sophie who was also the runt. She is now 9 years old and just perfect! In fact, she has to watch her weight a bit, but she is still as perky as a puppy!
