A Wonderful Thing

Yesterday me and Stanley went to the mailbox and got a package.  We were shocked that it had mom's name on it!  We were sure some mistake must have been made!  We shook it and it jingled.  Who would send mom a jingling package?  BUTT dad said messing with the mail was a Federal offense so we gave it to mom to open.  And we were shocked to see a Christmas stocking in it!  I gave it a good sniffing to see what was in it.

So me and Stanley sniffed and sniffed and we picked up all sorts of scents.  Some things were treats for us and some for mom, and even for dad!  We told mom what was in it.  Then she took it and looked at it, and looked at the card that came with it.  She told us there were other things in it, things that our powerful noses could not discern. We were confused!  So finally we asked mom, "What else is in it?"

Mom said it was full of  kindness, thoughtfulness, love and friendship.  She even got a lump in her throat when she was telling us about it!  So we thought it was a good idea to let our furiends in Blogville know that it came as a total surprise from another Blogville citizen, one who mom has never even met in the furs! We don't know if she would get embarrassed if we said her name so mom said she wouldn't say it, and we'd just say "THANK YOU!"
