Our friend Finn declared this official GeoDog Day! So as soon as we read this, about 2 weeks ago, we figured we'd better get started. Make sure you see Finn's post HERE if you need instructions. Anyway, we downloaded the free app on our pawrent's cell phones and checked to see if anyone ever hid any caches in our state. WOW!! We were shocked!! There were 87 million of them!! So when we went to the farmer's market we checked to see if any were nearby and sure enough there was! We read the information and went to the place. We had to find a micro cache (newbies should NEVER start with a micro cache!) We also had to answer a question about some statues. We found the statues pretty easy but now the clue said the cache was hidden under a black box.
Then we saw, hidden by plant growth . . .
Actually, it turned out there were 3 of them.
Success! We finally found your first GeoDog cache! Then we saw that there was another one nearby so we looked for it . . .
SUCCESS once again! |
Of course we can't tell you what was inside because that would spoil it for anyone else who is going to find it. But it was fun to sign the log book (in the cache and on the app). Thanks for introducing us to something so fun Finn!

WAY TO GO!!! I wonder if that micro under the black box was a magnet stuck to the underside. But no matter, I am so proud of you for finding the others! We hope you will play again! Be sure to link up on Gizmo's blog today for a chance to win a prize! And thank you for joining us today!
Our Mom has done that with our Uncle - apparently when looking for one cache they wandered around in the woods (in North Carolina) for about an hour before finally giving up. However, they have had other, more successful attempts. Maybe we should get our Mom to see if we could get Geodogs, too!

Doods! You are practically expert geodogs already! Very good finding that tricky one in the fence post and you got to find an ammo can too! Those are the best cause you can find cool stuff in them...I even got a bandanna to weat :) thank you so much for joining in the fun of Geodog Day!
So much fun! That big cache is a whopper. Mom and I are DYING to find a big one like that. So far we only found minis. Maybe next time.

Great job Doods!!! We were going to try to find something but the Mom got feeling poorly so it did not happen, not yet anyway!. We still want to give it a try!

Congrats on finding your first ones. Good note on newbies not looking for a microcache. I didn't notice if that was noted or not on the Geocache site. I will have to look closer....IF I try it again.
