Tap . . . tap . . . tap . . . is this mic on? Ahem . . . today me and my brother want to confirm that we have been nominated to run as the next mayors of Blogville.
And we are holding this press conference to confirm that we have accepted . . .
We have been hard at work and in nonstop meetings, signing contracts and dealing with the legalities of putting together our campaign team. We wanted to hit the ground running! We are pleased to announce that we have contracted with the prestigious and well respected firm of B, H & G Management to act as our campaign managers.
We met over the past few days and signed contracts making everything all official!
We will be touring all of Blogville so that we can connect with its citizens and hear your needs! Our campaign management team has put together an extensive schedule of places we will speak and LISTEN to YOU!
We have procured a traveling office to assist us in keeping our paws on the pulse of Blogille! We hired RV Travel & More, with driver Angus McConnell Long, who is loyal and dedicated to our mission. He will drive us from one end of Blogville to the other, and back again. Their motto is: Where Safety Comes First so we KNOW we will be safe with Gus at the wheel!
If you elect us as your mayors, we promise to work day and night to serve the wonderful citizens of Blogville. And furthermore, we think our slogan is clear in who we represent.

I am thrilled to hear that you are standing for mayor. I presume that your campaign will have an international dimension, recognising that Blogville spans the globe. I hope in particular that you will be promising to address the concerns of us living in the northern part of a cool damp island in NW Europe. Believe me, we have political concerns enough of our own here in Scotland at the moment, what with the independence referendum coming up next month, and so, feeling a little adrift about my future nationality, I fervently hope that Blogville will maintain its fine track record of choosing wise and talented leaders!
