Thursday's Business

This morning we went for a walk to the library.  It wasn't too far, a bit over 3 miles, but the whole way back was up hill!  So we had to take a nap.  But after our nap, we were ready to play again.
We played "King of the Couch".  Stanley likes this game a lot. We combine it with Bitey  Face.
Then dad asked if I wanted to play with my battery operated ball.  I said "Of course!"
It rolls itself all over the place.  I use it to practice my soccer moves too.
Stanley tries to distract me and it almost worked . . .
Until I see my ball rolling across the floor . . . calling my name.
Then he gives me his cute eyes, hoping I'll come back and play more "King of the Couch" with him.
But I like chasing my ball all over the house.  It even went down the stairs!
Stanley watches me and finally decides to amuse himself.
"OK, come here sneaky snake!"
I chase my ball a long time. It's too heavy (and big) for me to lift.  It's a hard, smooth plastic and my teeth just slip off it.
I gotta go now, I'm chasing my ball.  Have a nice evening everybody!

So is the battery operated ball the answer to your mom's arm not falling off from throwing the ball for you so much?

No, we waited outside while dad went in. We practiced doing commands with distractions. Mom said soon as we learn how to read she will sneak us in there.

I am a work in progress . . .

No, it is not as good as fetch but it does occupy me a great deal. I do get bored with it after awhile but I NEVER get bored with fetch! BTW, when we go to the park mom has one of those ball throwing thingies and it works really well. In our yard we have a special ball because we don't want it to roll down the hill.

Um...what? A battery operated ball for dogs?? That's awesome! Can you tell me where to get such a cool toy, cause I'd like to put it on my Santa Paws list?! ;-) Stanley you're cute face is adorable!!!

My pawrents found it at Ross's awhile ago. Mom googled it but could not find it. However, there were similar ones online. It is a big ball that rolls and changes direction. Amazon has a soft one called a Romp Zany Ball that is similar.

You can order it online. The specific one we have could not be located but there are some that are "the same thing only different".

Murphy I must admit to you one very important fact!!!!!!!!!!!
You have a very gorgeous tail, fluffy, stands up straight and OMCs I am so envious. I have a pretty long tail and it has furs but OMDs yours is way furrier (is that a word) than mine....I, Madi, have fluffy tail envy....
You and Stanley are so sweet and funny I think i might want my very own puppy. MOL

Thanks Madi! If you get a pup you just can't go wrong with a Doodle. Mom still loves me despite my mishap today.
