Farmington Creek Trail

This week we figured we'd better go and see if the buffalo were hibernating yet at the Farmington Creek Trail.  Nope, not yet!  We wondered if this big fella remembered us from the spring?

So we just walked . . .

Mom likes this old building.

Sometimes we have to sniff off trail.

We kept losing mom.

There were some fall colors but not too many yet.

Dad said this was an elk but me and Stanley suspect it is Rudolph in disguise.

Of course mom made us pose.

She made us pose by the pond too.

Stanley said he was tired of posing so decided to do the splits.

Then we got back on the trail.

Look ma, no leash!  (BOL - photo editing)

We know they way!

Sometimes dad had other ideas though.

Dad kept singing the "Rawhide" song.

It was a good hike butt mom said we need to go back in another week or so.

Definitely that is RudolF!!! ...and definitely you need to go back - that is the kind of trail which provides something different on every visit and in each season. What a joy! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

What an exciting walk! Is that where the buffalo roam? And do they get hit with roaming fees? Just curious.
And WOW! It IS Rudolph! How exciting! He must be taking a vacation before his busy season.
Awesome!

You meet some nifty big animals on your walks. They look friendly like our cows next door!

You doods see the most beautiful areas of this great country of ours! Mom loves old buildings like that too. OMD! Pierre and I had better mind our Ps & Qs if Santa Paws has already sent Rudolph to check on us in Blogville! Yikes!

Love all these pics-especially the Bison. Our colors are on the way out now-the wind has been so strong that the leaves are all falling. Love that you get to walk off lead-just shows how well trained you both are!
Hope your allergies are better.
Wags,

We're not actually off lead. Mom did some photo editing. If we were off lead we would be chasing birds and squirrels!
