Bryce Canyon Rain

One day it was real cloudy and then it rained - really hard!

When it was raining we enjoyed the spy window.  I liked to bark at everyone going past us.

Then mom pulled out rain gear!  Let's just say I was NOT impressed!

My raincoat fit but Stanley outgrew his.  Mom said she was not impressed with the gear either (Kong) cuz she had to waterproof it!  But all the hoomans thought we looked cute.

BUTT I guess it got the job done.

We were walking along the rim of the canyon and it started thundering and lightening.  Mom said, "Let's hurry to the truck!"

Dad said, "Hurry boys!"

All these people had their cameras poised to get photos of the rain and lightening.  Mom said that was kind of stupid.  And about 1 minute after we took these pictures . . .

Just as we were getting to the truck . . .

The heavens opened up and it was a downpour for about an hour!  Mom said she is sure there is more camera equipment for sale on ebay now!  We just went back to the spy window.

Tomorrow we will show you what it looked like when the fog set in!

I like your raincoats! It must been kind of scary to be out walking in the canyon when the thunder and lightning started!

Murphy and Stanley I love love love your slickers.
Dang right it was pretty stupid to be standing outside when a storm was coming.
Mom has a very healthy/scary respect for t-storms.
We love your spy seat
Hugs madi your bfff

PS My human sis and BIL loved loved loved Zion. They took a walking tour yesterday and sent us some really pretty photos from the balcony of their hotel. Now they are flying home today just in time to hunker down for that monster Matthew storm.

So glad your mom is such a smart lady-would have hated you to have been near those folks and experienced lightning firsthand!
Love the pics, I still think you look cute in your rain coats.

You look so cute in your rain gear. When you see a rainbow that means a rainbow bridge angel is missing their parents very much and reaching out to them.

Mama says that is JUST what it did at the Grand Canyon when she was there....at least she didn't break her camera!

Be lucky your raingear doesn't have rubber duckies on it like Arty's does...BOL!

Oh my gosh what an adventure! Glad you have a spy window, how else are you going to keep an eye on things. Good job letting your Mom and Dad know when something is outside your window. Gotta keep em safe! ~Nose nudges Bess a fellow barker and let'er know'er of stuff.

We actually needed rain jackets this morning i the Mile High. I liked it but of course Sam didn't. Elsa kept looking up toward the sky with a "what's this wet stuff?" look. She kind of enjoyed it, at least she was very frisky in it. Stay dry and don't buy any 'new' camera equipment. 😇

It is nice to have your wheelie house to take refuge in during the rain.
