BTW, there were a few questions concerning the micro-chip so I want to answer them.
1. Yes, the chip can migrate but this is unusual. Most do not move since there is a barb that holds them in place.
2. The chip migrating is not harmful in itself but may affect whether or not the person scanning the chip will locate it to read it.
3. The chip is just under the skin so it can be felt (in Stanley's case) but is easy to overlook.
4. Yes, they can test the chip to make sure it is still reading. A vet SHOULD check them every time you go in.
