Last night we went to school, our 3rd class. At the end of this course, our 6th class, we will actually take the CGC test. So we are really practicing hard! As part of the class we had to go out into the store, do a SIT-STAY (or DOWN-STAY), have our humans walk around us, then release us into a heel. Well, as you may know, in the prior cources (the Puppy 101 and Intermediate classes) I was not very good at listening to mom and never would do a STAY unless I was at home. So we went out into the store and she said SIT, then STAY. And I did.
Mom watched me watch the other dogs and people going by. We sort of did this last week and mom was VERY proud of me for not breaking my STAY and I remember how proud she was and how she told everybody how good I was on my SIT-STAY. So then mom said "RELEASE". And I remembered how much she liked that STAY from last week so I STAYED. So she said "RELEASE, COME". And I STAY some more. Then she clapped her hands, said "PUP PUP" and jumped all around. And I STAYED. I would not move for ANYTHING! So mom did the only thing she could do under these circumstances . . . she took my picture.
So today we went to Lowe's to practice some more today and the people there think we are amazing dogs! We walked around the store practicing loose leash walking with the STOP command. When we encountered other people we practiced LEAVE IT. All this stuff is needed for our test. Then we practiced SIT-STAY and DOWN-STAY. We went on the main aisle at the front of the store and did it while getting closer and closer to the registers where there were lots of people. Then finally, we parked ourselves just inside the door where we were distracted by people coming into the store. And, people kept wanting to pet us. The people knew we were training so they asked if it was OK to pet us. Mom said "Only if they remain in a SIT-STAY". And everyone obeyed those rules! We had great practice and Stanley did not get too "wild wif joy". Mom and Dad were so very happy and proud!
Then this afternoon we received an email from our friend Sugar. And guess what Sugar made for us:
How cool is that?? Thank you Sugar, that was SWEET of you and your mom! We can use this for our business cards! You might wonder why we would need a business card, well that is another surprise! Mayoress Kougar Khat Madi asked us to be the official Blogville Directors of Purchasing! We are honored and can now honestly say we have LOTS and LOTS of experience! We humbly accept!

Way to go boys!!! And I am glad the peeps listened to your parents rules about petting you. I'm going to Home Depo a little later. Hope they are just as nice there. I am sure you two will pass your test (MOM says as long as the test is not at church). What does that mean?
Blessings,
Goose

Wow you boys are going to pass your CGC with flying colors! I'm a long way from doing that yet. I have a difficult time with the sit stay thing especially away from home. Hopefully when I'm as old as you are I will get better. I think my mom wants to do the CGC test with me too.

Thanks, we just printed them up ourselves. You might not know but we suspect that it might be a brand protected phrase since we got it off a pillow. So we don't want to draw too much attention to it - BOL!

WooHoo and whoopee and great to have you in my Cabinet. Every good director of Purchasing needs a business card. It comes in handy when you are wheeling and dealing for the best price possible.
