Home Sweet Home!

Mom said we should put up a quick post to let everyone know we FINALLY made it home!  We have so much laundry many photos to sort through to share with you.  It was a wonderful vacation!

Stanley & Dad, Me and K10 & Sam (Hailey & Phod's pawrents), Jakey and Mayor Arty with dad Ed.

Furst we met our furends at the Oregon Coast, then we went to the Columbia River Gorge.

Mayor Arty's mom Beth taking sunset photos on our beach.

Right after we left the Gorge, where we hiked a tiny part of  the Pacific Crest Trail, a wildfire broke out!  It was a bad one and the trail was closed and many hikers were evacuated!

After we left there we went to the Olympic Peninsula where we met Bertie's Gail!!  It was a wonderful meeting!  Of course, we will detail all these things (with photos) as soon as mom gets settled.

Wheelie House Life

In the meantime, we want everyone to know that the western United States is on fire!  The fires are very bad.  Gail and her friend Marse were joining up with some others to do a bike ride through Glacier National Park where there is a wildfire.  Mom talked to them about the fire so we are confident that they changed their route if there was any danger to them.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected by fires (we have one in a nearby town, the Uintah Fire) and to those affected by the hurricanes.  Stay safe everyone!!

We will be trying to catch up with everyone in the next few days.

If only all the water flooding Texas could be scooped up and dumped on those wildfires! Seems like half the country is burning and the other half is flooding!

We've been seeing those fires and hurricanes on the news....shudder. We wish some of that hurricane rain could move up to the fires.

Glad you're home safely and look forward to your adventures!

Gail here: So glad you guys are safely home. Marse and I drove all the way (450 miles) out to Montana on Tuesday and all the way back Wednesday! Horribly smoky air ALL THE WAY, so our group was forced to abandon the planned 8 day Montana bike tour. So a change of plan and we are cycling in the Puget Sound and Mount Rainier area instead!
Cheers! Gail.

We know that you had a fab time with the friends of Blogville! The United States is having a very tough time between the fires and the hurricanes! We are praying for everyone.

Welcome home. The smoke from all those fires has joined the 3 fires in Colorado and is now clouding up our skies. I can't remember what blue sky looks like. Glad you are safe and hope Mother Nature decides to take a break from all this burning.
