We received some questions regarding our antlers and toys. The antlers are a mixture of deer or elk. We like the split antlers so the "marrow" is exposed. They are VERY hard, like a bone. Our pawrents actually call them bones (re: the dinosaur dig comment).
Antlers last a VERY long time and we like to pick different ones for our chewing sessions. Sometimes we trade them back and forth cuz it's always better with a brother's slobber on it.
Mom just stores our antlers in a basket so we can get them out as we desire. That's how we spread them all over the house. BUTT be careful cuz if your pawrents step on them it hurts their paws! Mom just watches to make sure we don't get any sharp edges on our antlers and if we do dad grinds them off.
We hope everyone gets to try out an antler!
Now about our toys . . . some of our most favorite toys have actually been around for some time. Van Gogh and Lamb Chop might be pretty old. Some of you asked how we don't dead them. It's funny cuz they are NOT real sturdy cuz many of them came from Kohl's (display by cash register) and are NOT actually made for dogs. BUTT since they have no squeakers in them we aren't compelled to dead them (but we chew off ears and mom makes sure there aren't dangerous eyes).
Mom stores most of our toys in the "jail" downstairs and then one by one I (Murphy) drag them upstairs. Here are the toys currently in jail:
These are the ones I've brought upstairs so far:
OK, we hope that answers some of your questions!

Pee Ess - We are working on the details but just wanted to let you know we will be throwing a Valentine's Day pawty/dance next month. It will be epic!

Murphy you know this Cat is gonna have more questions 'cause cats are curious (creatures). How come you are the only one to spring them out of jail and tote them to the up sanctum?
Sincerely Madi aka Curious Georgette!!
Wow! That's a lot of squeaky toys! To me, it doesn't matter if there's a squeaker inside. I still take the stuffing out. All my favorite, and flattened, toys are kept in my storage facility on the bottom shelf of the TV cabinet.
Those are excellent answers, though no more than we would expect from such diligent chaps! I found the deer antler Gail once gave me too hard to be a satisfactory object to chew, but I am now wondering if I can get her to slice it in half.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
That is some collection of toys! You could open your own toy-store with those. I used to have a cat that brought my woollen scarf upstairs. Or took my nice woolly socks downstairs. If it was wool, he loved it! Fortunately Miss Oswin is a lot better behaved.

HEY... about that Valentine's Dance and PAWty... it isn't going to be one of those WILD... <<>> thingys is it? We don't think Our Wimmen (Roxy and Abby) would allow US to attend if it is.
Oh wow! Those antlers look delicious! How fun!
Your stuffie jail is certainly overcrowded! We love antlers. Frankie and Ernie introduced them to us. Ours have sort of disappeared...probably in the garden somewhere. We'll have to get HER to buy some more! Thanks for reminding us.
WOW you guys have such a great lot of toys! How do you ever choose which one to play with!
Oh, those toys look so FUN!!!! How come they're in jail? Did they do something wrong?
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
A Valentine's dance?? Ooh, maybe I can get Yente Ruby to mind me a date.
If I may give a word of advice about antlers. The mark up on antlers is extraordinary. It doesn't cost the manufacturer much money to make them but they charge a lot for them because they last so long. There isn't a lot of difference between brand named antlers and store antlers so go with the store antlers and save yourself some money
Thanks for the tip about the split antlers. Mom has to look for some of those for us too. Do you get yours from the store (like Chewy.com) or are they real ones from your hikes?
You are so good to your stuffies - we don't think we would treat them that well even without squeakers:)
Woos - Lightning and Misty
Ruby just tried her very first elk antler and had so much fun with it!
I have some antlers in the back seat of the car to keep me busy

Bailey & Hazel too
Our dogs devour antlers! I can't believe that you doodz have such self-control that you have some that last a long time!
My boys have never tried antlers. All the ones I've seen have been kinda biggish and I know my boys wouldn't be interested in them for that very reason.
Wow, and I thought my boys had a lot of toys! Shiver used to be really bad about deading his stuffies but he's gotten better about it as he's gotten older. He usually carries one around. It's funny how one will be his favorite for awhile, then he'll choose another favorite. If I put one on the bed for him at night, he'll drop it off the side of the bed. I guess he doesn't like to sleep with his toys.
OMD...Jakey just fainted at the sight of all those toys waiting to be unstuffed!!

Never had an antler! Can you believes it??!!! I thinks it's some kind of doggie abuse or somethings! Yours look FABulous!!! I would especially loves one with YOUR slobbers on it Boo!
And, I see we gots the same taste in stuffies too!!! Ma buys the 5 buck stuffies at Kohl's too! BOL I got the monkey and I gots a bear and I also gots that exact same lambie!!! I don't kill them either....see, we are 'simpatico'!!! BOOL
Okays, it doesn't seem to be rainin' AS HARD right nows as it was...I will try and go out and bark some with ya, butts it is WEEEEET out there! You knows how I feel abouts wet furs and feeties! ☺
Kisses,
Your Fiance, the one with the REALLY WET FURS, Ruby ♥♥
The boys don't share bones or chews very well so they rarely get them. One of them (Bentley) gets grumpy with a bone.
That is a lot of antlers - you are very lucky!
Those look fun!
Sam & Elsa just booked a flight to your house...they want all those toys! Elsa drags all the toys and antlers/hooves out of the living room several times a day. It's a contest to see if she or the dog daddy win keeping them in one place. We especially love antlers since they last fur-ever and don't smell like the hooves do.
