Our Backyard

We have had several days of what mom calls beautiful weather.  So she took some pictures in our backyard.  The first one is a bush mom really likes cuz it blocks a neighbor.

Stanley wanted to point out that a Daffy had bloomed.  See the light by the Daffy?  We have them all over the yard in hopes of keeping skunks away.

This is a little Magnolia bush that bloomed for the first time.  It is at the bottom of our hill yard where not many things grow.

You can see the hill here.  The stepping stones are loose from winter so mom says it is a death trap.

You can see the Little Wheelie House is waiting for us to drive it to B*A*R*!

In this picture you can see how loose the stepping stones are but me and Stanley just fly over them when we run down the hill.

This is at the bottom of the hill.  Me and Stanley patrol it all the time.  Last year when we were chasing the squirrel these are the big boulders it ran behind.  This is actually about a 5-6 foot drop.

Here we are patrolling another section.  You might notice we have the vinyl fence and then 2 layers of fencing added to that.  Mom hopes it keeps me in and skunks out.  I surprised her one day about a year ago and when my ball went through the fence I followed it.  Until that moment we did not know I could slip between the slats!

OK, now you have seen our back yard.  Did you notice the impawtent announcement for our mayoral election the other day?  If not, you better check it out HERE!

What a fun and exciting yard! Mine is all one level. I need to talk to Momma about putting in a hill for more interest.

We have never seen your fabulous back yard from THIS Vantage point... it is SUPER fur investigating and playing games. We did See your Wheelie house... butt you know what? We have been wondering about your DOODLE CLUB HOUSE... the one your dad made fur you when you were just Pups... Do you still have THAT?

Murphy said...

Sort of . . . we still have the actual club house (we nearly took a picture of it at that same time) BUTT we do NOT have the bars that USED to surround it. Mom said we only needed the bars when we were wild, untrained pups and as soon as we could be trusted to run the house free we no longer needed the indoor (or outdoor) jail cells.

Oh I love the magnolia. it reminds of me and of the Human Grandparents house, now sold. They had a lovely magnolia tree in the garden. Up here in Scotland, we are too far north for magnolias to thrive.
But Doods, do take care on the death trap steps, please!

Our beautiful daffodils are buried in snow right now, so it was nice to see your flowers.

What a great yard! Our mom LOVES your magnolias!
Do skunks still get into your yard? Even though ours is built like San Quentin, we have coyotes that get in. And of course bunnies and squirrels and kit-cats.

You have a lot of fun places to play in your yard. Never bark at a skunk. They take it personally. ☺

We have a yellow flowered bush as well, but Mara says she doesn't think it will flower very much this year. And the daffs aren't even out yet! I wish it was summer, that way it would be nice to be outside and I can chase mice again!
