The Sad Little Froggy

Today we are joining Lady Shasta and Lord Shiloh in their furst ever fairytale blog hop!

Once upon a time . . .  there was a sad and lonely little froggy.  The froggy would spend his days eating bugs and worrying.  He worried so much that despite his youth he had worry lines all across his face.  Mostly he worried about one thing.  He worried that he would die before he ever found the love of a beautiful girl froggy.  This thought and worry consumed him until he had no joy in his life.

Then one day, a very handsome curly bodied doggie prince came upon the sad little froggy.  At first the very handsome doggie prince thought the froggy was dead because it was so still.  He had never seen a froggy who just sat there with his eyes closed, so silent.  So the very handsome doggie prince got closer and leaned toward the sad froggy and took a big sniff to tell if he was dead.

This startled the sad little froggy and so the sad little froggy opened his eyes. The very handsome curly bodied doggie prince was surprised to see the sad little froggy was alive! So the very handsome prince asked the sad little froggy,

"Why are you so sad that it looks like you are dead?"

The sad little froggy answered the very handsome curly bodied doggie prince and said,

"Because I am afraid I will die before I find a beautiful girl froggy to love me!"

So the very handsome curly bodied doggie prince thought about this for a minute and then asked the sad little froggy,

"Have you called out, in your loudest voice, in order to find a beautiful little froggy girl to love you?"

 The sad little froggy answered,

"I cannot call out for if I do I am afraid I will croak!"

Right away the very handsome curly bodied prince saw the problem!  The sad little froggy was afraid if he croaked that the would croak!  So he explained this to the sad little froggy and assured him that if he croaked that he in fact would NOT croak but it would be a way for a beautiful girl froggy to find him.

The sad little froggy wasn't certain whether he believed the very handsome curly bodied doggie prince but he decided that life was no longer worth living with such sadness so he would give it a try.  He mustered up all his courage and let out a loud,

 "Ribbbbbbbbit!"

Immediately afterwards, he prepared himself to die.  When the sad little froggy saw that he did not die, he did it again.  Finally he got enough courage to do it over and over.  Then the very handsome curly bodied doggie prince told the not quite so sad froggy to stop and listen.  They both listened carefully and heard an unusual noise.  The very handsome curly bodied doggie prince was much bigger than the not quite so sad froggy so he had a good view of what was causing the slight sound they were hearing.  He told the not quite so sad froggy to continue croaking.

"Ribbbbbbbbit!"

Within a few minutes, hopping into view was the most beautiful girl froggy!

For the first time ever the not quite so sad little froggy got a big smile.  The very handsome curly bodied doggie prince left the two froggies alone and went to go pee on some bushes.

And they all lived happily ever after.

I agree eating bugs all day and being lonely is a reason to be sad... but now the frogs are happy that they all are together... and that they live in the US and not in france :o)
