Bored & Announcement

It is STILL raining!  The weatherman said it is supposed to stop by the weekend and then be blazing hot.  But in the meantime . . .

Murphy didn't even get out of bed with the rest of us this morning!  He heard it raining and said "Why bother?"  I finally had to run outside to pee and barked at him so he finally came out but only stayed for 1 second!

So then I came back inside . . .

But he didn't answer . . .

On another note, we wanted to tell you what was "on the drawing board" . . . we're gonna have a rodeo!  Yup, we'll be looking for hosts for the various events that happen at the rodeo.  For those of us who live out west the summertime is rodeo season so we thought Blogville needed one too.  We are thinking of sometime in July.

We're thinking we'll need:

  • Bronco Busting
  • Bull Riding
  • Squirrel Roping - Ruby
  • Mutton Busting
  • Barrel Racing
  • Trick Riding
  • Rodeo Clowns
  • Cowboy Poetry - YAM Aunty
  • Chuck Wagon (Sasha will want this one fur sure!)

Let us know if you are interested in hosting any of these (or other) events!

Murphy & Stanley

Pee Ess - Mom says thanks to those of you who ventured over to her boring diet blog.

  5. Hi guys, ITS' raining still? I think we are back into our normal monsoon season-thunder and rain in the late afternoon. Today is clouding and the sun has been out a little but we are supposed to get rain later on.
I'm ready for the sunshine to stay.
Going to check out your mom's new blog.

  18. Oh I like the idea of taking photos of everything that you ate! That's a good one.
I told myself when I came back to blogging that I wouldn't host any of the events, but cowboy poetry seems kinda funny. Let me know if no one else claims that, and then I will do it. :)

  21. We hear you on the rain. I mean, we can only get so many muddy paw prints on the kitchen floor before Mom gives up - and if Mom doesn't care about the muddy paw prints, then all the fun is gone. Now that we are all nekkid, we are looking forward to the blazing hot days - if for nothing more than a change.... Abby probably won't be up for a rodeo for a while, but someone has to sit in the stands and cheer, right?

  28. I know what you guys mean! It is so boring when the rain interrupts our walks, can't do zoomies in the back yard and I can't even sun bathe!! Fortunately, we are getting fewer rainy days on the Oregon coast and more sun days! Hope your sunny days come soon!
    Hugs,

  29. I never get bored! I love to sleep or to nap or to snooze. I did get outside today, but there was quite high grass and that was wet and then I had a wet belly. I hate it when my belly gets wet!

  32. We've had a lot of rain here too lately, but mostly in the evenings. I don't mind it since that saves me from having to water the yard.

Excellent idea - having a rodeo in Blogville!
