Stanley has a staring contest all the time with a neighborhood cat. It's a matter of who blinks first (usually Stanley).
Murphy & Stanley
Pee Ess - For clarification, it was NOT 96° degrees when we went running yesterday, that was the forecasted high temperature for the day. It was 72° when we went, in the early morning before the sun came up.

It's OK Stanley. Just had a little bit of fur in your eye. You'll always be a winner in my book.
I don't give the kitty cats time to stare at me. I bark and they scat really fast. Ghostwriter says I'm not very neighborly towards the local kitties.
Maybe you'll win next time, Stanley!
Cammie!
I like to stare at my kitty.

Oh yeah, those kitties are past masters of the no-blinky art! Hugs and wags, YAM -aunty xxx
We don't get into staring contests with cats....we BARK and make them go away!
We have one of those staring kitties next door too. He likes to sit and taunt us since he knows we can't chase him.

You blink first, Stanley? I'm shocked! Our only neighborhood cats are the wild ones, and all dogs go in the house when they're around!

MOLMOLMOL Stanley!! I have breaking news for you never, no, never try to out stare a kitty you will be a BIG L every time. WE are the best starers on the planet
Hugs Madi your bfff
Good thing we didn't see the picture of the cat. We would be yapping our heads off.
Soon as they move...bam...so do we. We around the Ranch knew you didn't run in 96 degrees. At least the early morns are 'somewhat' cooler for movement. Only a few more weeks of brutal heat, then autumn!!! Our favorite. And maybe some Indian Summer days.
That cat sure has some nerve trying to have a staring contest with you! I am so sorry that you're having such a hot summer. My daughter is melting in Washington state too.
We have to cat and our old yellow cat Ziggy can hold his own with the neighbor dogs. He and Dasiy are best of buds.
Coffee is on
Nice try, Stanley. Keep trying and some day you might win. :)
