For a moment I thought that was some drive until I realized there are bits of that horrible symbol everywhere. Long live the determination of free people. 🇩🇪
When the wall came down there was a grad student from West Germany in the department where I worked. Knowing him and how this made him feel really made a lasting impression on me. He talked about family friends and acquaintances he had never met and was hoping to meet when he got home. Hugs Madi and mom
