We want to give a big thanks to our pals at Chewy.com for the surprise we received in the mail!
When we were on vacation we went to an Intertribal Pow Wow. It was so cool! We took some video on mom's cell phone. We hope you can see the AMAZING dress of the native people and hear the intensity of the drums. Mom sure loved those drums!

This is something I would surely love to experience too... thanks to 'mum' for that video clip.. I especially liked the father walking in right at the end with little son on hand and his feet following the rhythm. That's what drums do; they talk to the heart and feet respond!!! OMD!!!! MY STUD MUFFIN!!!! That CHEWY is one FABulous place!!!! Such a FABulous pressie package! Ma wouldn't lets me near hers....pffffft! Anyhu, that video is so cool! Ma watched it twice! Oh, and Arty told you that I was wondering...if at all pawsible...if you could put in a good word into the Pawlice Chief....I would like to apply for a promotion from Junior Officer to Full Fledge Officer? I thinks I could keep the 'incidents' to a minimum...hehehe
Okays, Ma's got another my-grain (our neighbor has found it necessary to burn GREEN, unseasoned wood, in their fireplace, and the smoke is coming in our house and making it hard for Ma to breathe and, hence, the my-grain...sigh. I mean, how much wood can these people burn in a day???? )

The costumes and rhythmic dancing to the rhythmic drums make for a strikingly different experience. I attended a couple of pow wows when living in Oklahoma, and was surprised to note that members of the tribes included several very blond haired and pale skinned children. It was at the time I think quite fashionable (as well as financially advantageous in terms of royalties from local oil fields) to celebrate any Native American ancestry. In any event, it made for a good party!
