Lewis & Clark

Yesterday me and Stanley decided to play Lewis & Clark and we went exploring!  (These photos came from the surveillance cameras.) You can see here that we came from the backyard to the front yard.

We ran up the street and down the street!  We went over to play with Nola who was really surprised that we were running loose without our pawrents!

And 2 times we even crossed the street!  When mom saw these photos she about had a heart attack!

We came back to the yard a few times and wrestled in the front yard.

Then we took off and ran downhill,  We went past that gray SUV, took some sniffs and then came back up the hill.

By the time our pawrents realized we were gone, we went back up the street and around the corner.  All in all, we played for about a half hour and mom and dad never knew it cuz they were on the phone & computer fighting with the little wheelie house repair place.

Mom said she still isn't over it so I snuggled her really close all night long.  Dad said he will really double check the gate latch from now on (it locked without the latch engaging).

  2. Murphy and Stanley's EXCELLENT ADVENTURE! A BREAK-OUT and FREE RUN! We love that when it happens--only about once a year. We go check out all the places we've seen cats, in the 'hood. You look very well-behaved...and the street looks quiet. Too bad there was a camera.

OMD, thank the Great Dog the street is local traffic only!!! That, and you stayed within sight of home. My heart thumps for your pawrents. Be gentler on them. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  6. Hi Boys, Even though your adventure looked like you had so much fun, I'm thankful the man in the truck from the Dog Patrol didn't spot you and take you to jail. I'm also thankful you didn't get hurt.
Hope you don't scare your parents like that again.
Happy Easter from our home to yours

  8. OMD, that is not good, dudes - please don't do that again!!! We are glad you are both safe. How did you get those photos? Was there a secret spy watching you?

We love that wishing well - reminds Mom of the one she had years ago in Connecticut. She has a photo of Angel Dakota sitting in it:)

    Happy Easter.

  9. OMD...This is a pawrental nightmare Doodz!! We agree, a little walkabout can be good for the soul...but only when you bring you pawrents on their strings..Who KNOWS what kind of trouble your pawrents could get in unsnoopervised!

Very glad you are home safe and sound!

  11. Our Patron Saint Old Charisma was good at sneaking out the door. She would run around the neighborhood and the peeps had to go out in the car to find her! They bought a fence for the yard soon after that! Once Joey dog got out somehow. He came back by himself shortly after the peeps started to panic. Be careful you guys! (I bet you had fun, though!) Hope you have a nice Easter!

  14. You two should be careful out there. The outside world is a dangerous place for two doggie woggies. Stay at home with your pawents.

  19. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DOODZ DON'T GIVE US A SCARE LIKE THAT EVER NO NOT EVER AGAIN. MY WORD....THANK GOODNESS YOU ARE OKEY DOKEY AND NO HARM CAME..EXCEPT TO THE HEARTS OF THE PEEPS. My sis used to pet sit for the Golden Retriever who lived next door. He his name was Toby but it should have been Houdini. He learned how to lift the fairly complicated latch on the stockade fence they had. Sis watched him once.
he would get his front paw at the bottom edge of the gate while using his nose to lift the latch. There was just a split second that the stars were aligned and he could get it opened. The had to put a old fashion slide latch at the top on the outside too.
Sending lots of extra snuggles from us too you all

  21. OMD! Y'all are so lucky that you aren't grounded. We are in prison while our peeps are visiting our human brother and sister. They are spoiling the grandbaby. We are not happy and they had better bring us some major gifts! Bahaha!

  23. WOW! That's super duper fun, but it's sure the kind that gives the pawrents heart attacks. Momma had a problem with our gate not latching pawperly, so she just put a lock on the gate to keep it shut.

  25. Yikes! So glad you guys are safe. Better to stay in the backyard than run around in the street.
