We're Celebrating You!
If you live in Blogville, there are others who think about you and would miss you if you were gone!
Yes, we may play in a virtual world around here BUTT we still make REAL friendships.
We know we are not alone in this.
We journey together, through the good and bad. BUTT we are all in it together and share love and support.
We laugh together and we cry together.
It's the Blogville way!
So part of what will happen at the B*A*R* will celebrate those relationships we have formed with others in Blogville. One ceremony will celebrate and remember those who have left us. And at the end of our time at the B*A*R*, we will close by celebrating the friendships we now have.
You are an impawtent part of Blogville. We will celebrate all of you!
Please go over to YAM Aunty's place for details on how you can be part of these ceremonies.
We want you there . . .
Even if you can't be there - you CAN still be there!
Even if you can't be there - you CAN still be there!

Windy City
Did you know me and Stanley were in the Windy City last weekend? No . . . we were NOT in Chicago . . . we had a "wind event" called "down slope winds"!
Since we live by the mountains (technically across the street), we USUALLY get a nice gentle breeze in the evenings. Our winds otherwise come from the west. But SOMETIMES, when a low is in the right spot, the winds come over the top of the Rocky Mountains, screaming down the slope and right into us! There was LOTS and LOTS of damage. Nothing catastrophic but lots of damage.
Men (and sometimes women) on roofs is a common sight these past few days. Right after the wind event the mayor organized volunteers to help remove downed trees. On Sunday over 1700 truck loads were taken to the green waste facility. You could hear chain saws everywhere! And of course it caused power outages too.
Now we hear a lot of hammering and the sound of nail guns. It will be a good year for roofers!
Still running into fallen trees.
Trees in the process of being removed.
The city workers are cleaning up a park from a fallen tree.
This tree crossed the property line.
Lots of missing shingles were flying through the air like frisbees!
Not nearly as many pine trees as there used to be!
Another one bites the dust!
There was damage on the sides out of view too.
Some houses lost siding.
This used to be a giant willow tree that was overgrown onto the sidewalk. Every time we walked up our street it was a nuisance to walk under its low hanging branches. That is no longer a problem.
I hope they don't wait for this to fall down!
This is our neighbor on the south side. They have damages on both sides of the roof.
The neighbor on the north side has a few bad patches, The photo didn't really catch it all.
You may or may not remember that the day me and Stanley came to live furever with mom and dad there was a lot of noise because a new roof was being put on our house that very day (cuz of another downslope windstorm). That was 4 years ago March! And we are happy to report that our roofer did a great job - no damage!

Just Chillin'
We were all just chillaxing on the couch. Spot kept trying to leave so Stanley was hugging him.
And dad was telling us about Madi's reminder HERE.

Fetch Master
Murphy & Stanley
Pee Ess - In response to the questions from yesterday concerning Dr. Phil. Mom USED to really like him. He was common sensed folksy. So when she and dad went to a taping of the show she was VERY disappointed cuz Dr, Phil did not interact with the audience at all. Robin sat across the aisle and only stared straight ahead and did NOT interact with anyone. She came across as being very diva-like. Mom and dad have attended Oprah, Jenny Jones, Leno & Letterman tapings. Jenny Jones was VERY fun and Leno really interacted with the audience. Letterman wasn't as interested in the audience. Next on list: Ellen & Jimmy Fallon!
