Project Snoopervisors

There is a section in our yard that has something going on and it stays wet.  We don't know why but the ground stinks soooo good that we cannot resist the urge to dig holes and eat the mud!  We only do it in this one area.  Unfortunately for mom, it is a highly visible area.  And unfortunately for me, Murphy, it is in a main section of my fetching flight path where all these holes are.  So dad decided to fix it.

Yeah, in the house.  Mom isn't real happy about that since it happens all day long . . .  So dad installed some drain pipe.

And dad decided he'd play it safe and put in pavers so we couldn't dig.

Losing our tasty mud is soooo disappointing!

I think we're gonna have to find a new spot.

In the meantime, we're still snoopervising Dad.

Sometimes up close . . .

Other times from the cool shade a distance.

We'll see how this works out.

We're going to have to forward this post to Dad. Ghostwriter's been wanting a patio like that for years! Thanks guys! Have a great 4th of July weekend!

SHE keeps putting up barriers around our favourite good-tasting mud spot, but we just dig AROUND them. We're not letting her see this, we have too many pavers, we think.

OMCs Murp and Stan...your dad is the most handiest Dad I think you should keep him and actually go ahead and give him a contract for life. OMCs how smart of him to put in the pavers too. MOLMOL mom just cracked up at the visual of you eating dirt and playing in it then going through your dog door up the the living space with dirty feets. I bet we'd hear your Mom hollering all the way down here
Hugs madi your bfff

Sad to see your mud pit disappear, but maybe you can find a new spot!

Smart Daddy you got there (tho too bad for you two!) ... but maybe you'll get warm tummies now taking afternoon naps on the sunny pavers! Always look for a little good in the bad, mmm ...

If there is one thing I know it is that mud happens and you will find some soon

The patio/paving stones look nice, but I liked the mud better. No offense. It's just ... MUD! You know? I love mud. And puddles.

The pavers will be nice for Mom and Dad, but we bet you would like that mud better. We have the same issue along one side of our yard where we run the fence line with our neighbor pups. Mom wants to put a French drain in or something like that.

Oh no! Hopefully you can find more to track in the house. I know our mom loves when we do that!

Your dad is a right genius! Here's hoping the mud demon stays away permanently with his fix.
