Springing Here

Our weather has been great all week, in the 70's and sunny!  So I want to show you all the springing going on (mom says calling it springing is better than saying leafing and blooming cuz it covers both BOL!).

This lilac was planted last year.

A tree ready to spring.
This is a lilac mom & dad planted a long time ago but it never thrived.
A Daffy getting ready to spring.
Our magnolia is getting ready to spring!
This forsythia bush is already springing!
The crocus has sprung!

Mom is sure hoping we don't get anymore snow but dad says he is sure we will.  Here I am helping mom check the perimeter to see if any holes need fixed.  Looks fine to me!

I like to sit on the corner so I can do security on the back, (one) side, and part of  the front.  So far so good!

We hope everyone is seeing some springing!

As you saw from our post winter is hanging on real hard in our neck of the woods. Thanks for sharing your springing with us as it gives us hope that we will get there some day too.

Have fun watching the springing. A good vantage point is all important, I find.

We had some forsythia bushes started but a yard service mowed our yard by mistake instead of the next door neighbor and killed the little sprouts. The owner of the business came back and apologized and offered to replace them, but it was too late to get a start on them before winter. We will try again. That shrub was one of my late Mom's favorites. LB

We would say Spring has sprung there. We thought our flowering pear trees were doomed from springing into bloom. All the buds came out a few weeks ago when it was warm and then we had a week of hard freezes. But today it looks like they are OK and will be all abloom this week. Mother Nature is all messed up, but she still makes things look pretty.

I love seeing that GREEN. It is "springing"!!! It has been very warm here too but we know that it will snow here again. The plants know too so they are staying underground.

Oh, thank you so much. Seeing spring pictures in snowy New England is like a glass of water to a drowning man.

I love forsythias, but so far nothing is springing yet. Well, apart from the crocuses and there are some shoots coming up. And today it's not springing for sure: snow!

We still have 100% snow cover. No flowers at all. Only the silver maple is budding. But around here it often turns from winter to summer overnight!

The crocuses are finally springing forward in the Mile High now along with daffodils. Trees are beginning to leaf out and the flower pears are putting on quite a show.
