Desert Hiking Post #3

At first we thought mom and dad said we were hiking in the dessert so we were all for that! On our way there we passed huge Lava fields and we thought Bertie and Gail would like to explore there!

  3. Good thing Dad had water. We think it might be a lot of fun to go on a dessert hike too with lots of refreshing ice cream.

  4. We walked in the snow today. I bet if we walked far enough we would meet in the middle

  5. I would have liked that. My yard was COLD today. Mom says I walk like a little old lady when it's cold as I don't like my paws to have to touch the ground.

  6. maybe it was because of the lava fields that you nearly had such summerish temperatures?

  7. Oh my goodness, what fantastic photos! I love the second to last best (well, apart from the ones with you in them of course): the colours, the detail. Perhaps I have to buy a lottery ticket and win and then I can quit my job and go where you are right now!

  8. It really does look pretty warm there! We have never been to the desert...but hope to go there one day. We are currently walking onsnow here and more is expected...but the temps are below freezing...which makes being outside very difficult! Hope you are having fun on your trip! Safe travels!

  10. Oh you are so right. Desert or dessert, we would just LOVE to go exploring there. (Although Gail tells me she does not do at all well in hot weather, one of the reasons she settled happily in Scotland!)

  12. When we went through the desert last summer, there were signs to watch for poisonous snakes and insects. Yikes! Have fun and stay hydrated ♥

  13. Wow! What wonderful landscapes! We could use some of that desert heat. It's freezing here and a blizzard is headed our way.
