A Special Walk

On Wednesday, we really were thinking about our pal Goose.  We know him in the furs you know.  Anyway, everyone thought he was going to cross the bridge on Wednesday - but he fooled them all!  Anyway, we had him on our hearts so we took a walkie in the same place he has been going lately.

This is the river on the lower parkway.  It's a good place because the water is dog friendly.

For a few minutes we lost mom. Or did she lose us? Either way, if she is not in sight it is an emergency situation.

We like stopping by the river.  Sometimes we go in and other times we just take a sip.

I always think about how my early ancestors must have enjoyed this river back when Goldendoodles ran wild with the dinosaurs.

Time to cool off.  Stanley likes to ease into the water and lay there and drink water like an alligator.

Yes, we can smell Goose all over this river.  We are thankful for not only his friendship but if it wasn't for him me and Stanley would never have come to live with our pawrents!  We'll always hold Goose in our hearts!

I honestly think your mom is just hiding to take better pictures of you guys. Trust me, I've done the same. The water looks clear in those pictures. I bet you enjoyed a really good swimming session.

What a beautiful place. We know you know goose because of your community and am glad you have gotten to know he and his Mom. We were so sorry to hear of his troubles, and hope his last days are as fun as your present ones.

Since you two are mayorz...and your assistant got a dog park...we think maybe someone should suggest to the powers that be to name the river or at least the trail after Goose.

Hi boys, I haven't checked today to see how he is doing, I've been praying for Goose and his mom alot!
I love that you get to get in the water-do you need to watch for Giardia? We have to watch for it here in Colorado. Did Goose's mom know the breeder of your parents? I took two grands to CSU Vet school open house today and we got to watch two K9 units put on a presentation. Loved it, could have spent the entire day there. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Susie and Sidebite got it right, Goose always went to the most amazing rivers, lakes, ponds and streams, even in winter! As much as I hate the water, I would have loved just one walk with him.
Goose and Michelle are in our prayers.

We've been thinking of Goose and his MOM a lot too, and we don't even know Goose in the fur. I'm so glad that you took that special walk. I think that it will always be a special walk, if it is one of Goose's favorites. I hope that he and Michelle get more time to share their love.
