A New System

Mom started using a new system on me and Stanley.  We got so many toys, and they are all our favorites, that the 2 baskets in the living room were over flowing.  So now she takes the majority of them and just puts them on the rug in the Big Room downstairs.  Every time I go outside (and that's a lot!) I stop by the pile and bring up a toy.  When almost all the toys are upstairs again, she takes them back down.  Mom says it forces us to play with all the toys not just the ones on top.  We'll see how long she lasts!

Right now we are having very cold weather.  Our high for today is only 13 degrees (-10 C) and we have high winds too (gusting to 65 mph).  Our pawrents could not even do their long run yesterday.  They quit after 7 miles.  In the meantime me and Stanley are still playing in the snow.  We got more last night.

  2. I need to do a sleepover at your house. I LOVE fluffyy toys and you have twice as many as I do. Our house is kinda of small. Mom said she got tired of cleaning a 4 bedroom home with 3 levels when it was just her there so when she married Dad they bought a bungalow. It's cute, but there's not a lot of room for a hundred toys. Stay warm!

  3. Oh I would love to play with all your toys! My toys I've got from Santa turned into confetti over night (probably haunted toys). Stay warm and comfy, that's really icy cold :o)

  5. Hmmm, this new system sounds interesting. I am curious to see how long it takes before it breaks down. BOL Oh, and just FYI...BOTH January blog hop codes are now posted on my Blogville Tours page - the New Administration and Letter to my Paw Pal.
    Happy Tuesday!

  6. Brr, that's cold! I hope your pawrents get to do a proper run soon. Momma is driving me a little crazy right now. I wish she would just go run it out, but she says she's "tapering". Humans are weird.

  10. We want to wish YOU DOODS and your PEEPS a VERY MUCH HAPPY NEW YEAR.

OMD your mom has a SYSTEM??? We think it is more fur HER than You... it will keep her bizzy... taking them back down... hope she has a Bag or a Basket to carry ALL of THOSE in... wouldn't want her to drop any on the Steps... that could be BAD...
WE think you should encourage this "SYSTEM" thingy... it will keep her from coming up with anythingy ELSE to do. Like sticking the Flashy Beast in your faces all the time and stuffs like that.
    OMD TRY and stay WARM...

It's crazy-cold like that here, too. We just got back from a great walk. We wanted to go further, but Mom was muttering something about not being able to feel her face. Whatevs.

  16. You're toys look in better nick than ours. We're sort of rough with them. Remember it gives your mum some extra exercise taking all those toys back downstairs...bwahaahaa!

Ma had a friend tell her what she does with her doggies: she puts some of her dogs toys in a bin and puts in on a shelf in the garage. Then she gives her dog a 'new ' toy from the bin. Ma wasn't convinced this would work on me, since I could smell all my slobbers on it, and KNOW it was mine, and Ma just STOLE it and was holding it hostage!! Then I would gets my revenge....☺
Anyhu, I sure hopes your peeps get to gets their run in...its cold and windy here, butts not THAT cold!!! (Ma kinda likes it, butts since I'm gettin my furs taken tomorrows, Ma has my ThunderCoat all ready to keep me warm!) I hopes you gets to keep all your gorgeous furs through the winter Murphy!

  22. I like your idea for toys. We want to rotate our supply but we always forget about the ones that we put aside "for now". Your system would take care of our forgetfulness!

It's super cold here too. It's presently -18° but there's little wind. It's supposed to warm up at least to zero tomorrow. I hope it warms up for you too!
