Close Call

[As some of you may already know, we live in an area with beautiful mountains.  The bad thing about it is that during the winter months we get air inversions where the cold air is trapped at the ground and the warmer air is aloft.  The mountains act like a bowl that holds all this in place. Then a high pressure parks over us and pollutants cannot escape into the atmosphere.  So we are stuck with the pollution until a storm comes by and stirs up the atmosphere and blows out the dirty air.  Since we have been stuck in this situation for awhile now, we have not been having fun like we normally do.  Me and Stanley are cracking (and so are our pawrents).]

Concerning the card count:  We have so many Christmas cards that mom started hanging them on the banister cuz the door got all filled up.  Me and Stanley give each other High-Fives every time the mailman makes another delivery.  We have over 50 and our pawrents still only have 4!

Well, of course, goose was always the bird of choice until the discovery of the turkey... just saying.

Ugh, nothing worse than polluted inversion states. One thing I won't miss from Sydney!

We too hope it clears up and you can have outdoor fun again. Here it is so mild we haven't even got the heating on. Making the most of it.
Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly

Our Mom lived in Salt Lake for 13 years before she moved to Park City - when she first lived in SLC she couldn't believe that there were warm temps and blue sky above all the muck! Now, however, she just tries to hold her breath from when she gets into Salt Lake in the morning, until she leaves. We think you boys should demand to go up into the mountains with your pawrents when they go cross-country skiing! ;-)

We didn't know this about living in the mountains. Iowa is a protected goose state so they all migrate here cos all the states around us can hunt them. We live very close to the river and lakes so we see them all the time, momma said the only time we will ever get to eat one is if she would find it in a stuffie..um...

I'm sorry about all that dirty hair. I had no idea that happened where you lived! We have bad air here, too, but for different reasons.

I would be most impressed if you boys caught a goose!
