Not Fair!

The MOST unfair thing is happening today!  Mom and Dad are going on a hike and me and Stanley have to stay home!  Mom said it was too far for us to go and we would poop out.  You see, we live in the foothill area of the Rocky Mountain Wasatch Range, specifically below Ben Lomond Peak.  So they are hiking with some people (friends from church) to the peak of Ben Lomond.
This is where they begin hiking, at the trailhead.
If I had some binoculars, I could see them hiking from my barking chair in the Piano Room!
They will hike to the peak, have lunch, then hike back.

Mom said we cannot hike 16 miles (25.7K).  Me and Stanley think that is not fair and mom and dad are too old to go that far anyway.  Mom said she would take some pictures and I could post them tomorrow.

  2. It's a great hike boys. MOM has done it 3 times. She is super "not to happy" that she has to work and can not go. You guys come on over to my place and we will have some fun of our own.

  9. I am reading all the comments by your doggie friends here and let me tell you, running straight up is not a good idea. Unless you are a mountain goat or something. I've tried it and it doesn't work. Mom and dad are right, as usual. Have a great snoozy day while they're away. And smile when they come home all tired.

  12. Howdy Mates, we agree. Totally unfair and Daisy, Bella and Roxy had a great idea. What's wrong with your mum and dad pulling you in the no-walkin wagon???? Lets hope this doesn't happen again. Hey, what time is the party anyway??? NO worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  13. We bet you two would have made it just fine. How will your pawrents know if they never let you try? We hope you could at least spy on them from the barking chair. Do you have a telescope?

  15. I think they were probably right that you might poop out. I know I did.

  16. *sheesh* Haven't you convinced your parents that if you 'poop out' they can just carry you? I mean, you boys are mini-doodles - as in porta-doodles! I don't know about you two, but while it was cloudy and cool here we didn't get any rain - which made for nice walkies for us, and hopefully a nice hike for your parents (upon whom you should be laying massive guilt trips by now!)!
