Hair Stealers

It was 50 degrees today so lots of the snow is melting.  Luckily, me and Stanley worked really hard last summer to dig a zillion holes in the yard and now they are filling up with mud.  YAY - our plan worked perfectly!  Before we came to live with our pawrents, the yard was all green and landscaped.  But we've eaten bushes, ripped out flowers, and pulled out newly planted trees (we just call them sticks) and so now it looks so much better!  With the weather warming we'll do lots more "yard work" too!  We got plans!

This morning, just like mom said, we went to the hair stealers place. Mom said she LOVES our long furs but we were getting too dirty.  We think she is VERY wrong but she got all pushy about it!!  Anyway, here is how we looked after our furs got cut:

Pretty handsome, huh?  I have to admit that my new cut does show off my sleek body.
Stanley looks all muscular and fit too.  Oops, a little smudge under his chin . . .
I always liked Stanley's smile!
Don't look at our butts.  Oops, tiny spot on our feets . . .
I posed for this one.  I do this when I stalk Stanley.
One of the many holes in our yard.  Dad fills them up and we dig them out.
NOTHING tastes better than a sip from a mud hole!
You can see I am still over-the-top cute!
"No worries Mom, I'll wipe my paws when I come in!"

Yes, a Doodle's work is never done.

  3. So you missed out walk today to get your furs stolen?!!! Where are your parents priorities? SHeeesh. Well we all missed you guys. And you missed out on a search and rescue opportunity. MOM will tell your parents all about it at church tomorrow. But needless to say Bert saved the day. Oh we all helped but really it was Bert and a little bit my MOM who got the job done.

Frankie was FINALLY able to Teach Dad to APPRECIATE a finely dug hole. NOW he is just PROUD as all get out when he sees us making a New Hole.. or even Improving on an older one. You should SEE him He throws his arms in the air and Waves them around and SCREAMS fur MOM to come and LOOK WHAT THEY HAVE DONE NOW!!!

  18. Samson Says: You look more like poodles than doodles now!. And, guess what? I have special hole diggers here on our land. Some are called ground squirrels, they are OK. I just stick my nose in their holes to say hello. But then there are the gophers! They really get on my last nerve the way they pop their heads out of the earth to show their big teeth and then pop right back down again before I can get them! Very annoying critters. Looks like you guys have the greatest, muddiest, yard I've ever seen!
