School Daze - Advanced Class

Thanks to everyone who guessed my body part on Wednesday.  It was my paw!  I think I said before that last night was our first night back at school.  We are in the Advanced Class at PSU.  It will prepare us to take the CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test.
This is our teacher Miss Tonya.  She is an Animal Behaviorist.  But most important, she loves us! The brown dog's name is Hershey.  He is VERY focused on treats and because he kept staring at the teacher's treats, he got extra treats for everyone in the class!  YAY Hershey!
We were surprised and happy to see our friend Annie (center) in the class!  Annie is VERY beautiful and the very first Goldendoodle (besides mom and our siblings) that we ever met in our whole lives!
I was just lying quietly on my mat.  I was a PAWFECT student!
Our friend (Big) Murphy from our Intermediate class was there too.  She is very nice .  Goldendoodles were RULING this class!
Stanley was paying very good attention to our teacher.  During our group STAY a lady came up and was squeaking a toy by Stanley and he did NOT even flinch or blink - even when she started talking to dad!

Now, I have to tell you about how I did in class.  Mom kept calling me a rock star but I do not know what that means.  She kept smiling and beaming too.  In our other classes I had a lot of trouble focusing on her.  OK, I even had trouble admitting she was even in the room.  I just watched everything else.  BUTT last night, I kept watching mom.  When she told me to SIT, I sat.  When she told me DOWN, I went down.  When she told me to STAY, I stayed (even in a group STAY).  I was in a SIT-STAY, just sitting there smiling at mom and watching everything around me.  A lady came by with a cart and mom thought "Ug oh".  But I just sat there smiling.  Then a lady came walking by and passed 2 feet in front of me.  Mom was backed away from me and not touching my leash so I could easily rush over for a pet from the lady.  Strangers LOVE to pet me cuz I am so cute.  Anyway, I just stayed there in my SIT-STAY, smiling away.  Mom was in SHOCK! I laughed when I saw her jaw drop - BOL!  As the lady completed passing me by she looked at mom with raised eyebrows and said, "VERY good!"  Yup, that was me, VERY GOOD!

Of course you were very good. Why would your mom think other wise? Sheeesh. They worry to much. So how did Stanley do? I bet just as great.

I did excellent. During the group STAY a lady came up and was squeaking toys and I totally ignored her. (Squeaky toys are my downfall.) Dad says he was very proud of me.

Murphy WTG!!!! This class is quite timely as your manners for the Valentine Ball will be fine tuned and the ladies will love your gentlemanly ways.

Murphy, Excellent job for you and Stanley. I hope you got lots of treats when the class was over. I knew you could do it! Hunter is pretty good with his sit-stay but he has to learn to stop whining(as I've said before). Have a great day buddy-I hope it is as nice there as it is here.
Happy Dance is what we do when Hunter is good, so I'm doing one for you both.

WooHoo Murphy and Stanley!!! You two are going to kick that advanced class' tush along with the CGC test!!! :-D You have such cool looking and super smart pups in your class too! Nifty! I gotta say, there is noooooo way that I wouldn't have gone for a squeaky toy Stanley, so you have much better focus and will power than me! ;-) Great job Murph on those stays too!! You are both A+ students (and I hope you got lots of nummies for it too)! :-D

Hi Boys!

How cool that you started a new class last night! Remy and I started our new class last night too (we are in the class together). It is only a level 2 class since we are both young still. My mom says I have the same problem with paying attention anywhere outside of the house so maybe if you were able to get better with that I might get better some day too! There is still hope.

Remy and I talked about what we were going to wear to the ball and we have my mom working on some nice frocks for us. We also took some pictures last night and my mom will be sending you the pictures that your mom requested.

I'm so proud that you both did so well in your class. I'm sure you will be CGC in no time.

Cheers,

Millie
